I was at my little town in the south of the Netherlands this weekend, with my parents. I like to wear comfy sweaters in the weekends, specially on lazy sundays. But to give it a chique twist I used my black heels. Jeans Jbrand | Shoes Zara | Sweater Filippa K | scarf H&M | Bag AllSaints

What are you doing this (in Netherlands grey) Saturday? Today I went to my grandmother, she is 86 years old. Her house is like a big vintage store, and I love vintage. Let me show you some keypieces of her! The last time I went to my grandmothers place, she was wearing this cardigan and I love it! What do you think?
Whats in your bag today?
As I told you before, today is the day I will visit the Berlinale (hence the ID in my bag). I like my bags small and functional, so I usually don't have much space. I pick my accessories wisely and always bring: 1. A nailpolish to rework my morning manicure. Today it is Deborah Lippmann's 'Polka dots and Moonbeams' 2. A YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils Shocking in black 3. Radiance enhancing YSL Poudre Compact 4. Peppersmith mints. I'm seriously addicted to these Sicilian lemon flavored babies. 5. My mini Moleskine agenda. I use it for appointments, scribbles and I keep my business cards in there. 6. Some jewelry. I always forget to put it on in the morning and this way I always have some with me. Today: a friendship bracelet that Fabia and I bought in London + a gifted bracelet from Ettika from my mother. 7. A miniature perfume. This one is called 'Forbidden Games by Kilian' and I love it. Written by Wendy With some items you will always look stylish. Did you meet your navy-blue sweater already? I found this sweater in my boyfriend's closet. So I would say go to your boyfriends/brothers/fathers closet, and go for the navy blue sweater! ;-) ...or invest some money; a navy-blue, cashmere sweater will never leave fashion. (Yes, go for cashmere; your sweater will be - and stay - way more beautiful. It's worth the money!) A blue sweater is simple, and because of the beautiful color it will always have a chique twist. It will never look easy. To make it more fun: put a black leather jacket over it; don't be scared to combine black and blue. Once you've found that perfect navy-blue colored sweater you will notice it is amazing with black. Navy blue sweater + white pants = perfect match Jeans Diesel | Shoes Topshop | Sweater Filippa K | Denim shirt Liu Jo | Coat Mooia | Necklace Zara
Written by Fabia These boys are badass! I saw this video on The Avant/Garde Diaries some time ago and they absolutely rock (literally!). Its quite inspiring to see these two young guys do something that is so different and unexpected. And they seem so wise for their age.... They will even perform at SXSW in Austin next month! Did you already get a P6 Beanie?
We already wrote about the Beanie Season and this one should definitely added to your collection! A lot of celebrities have been spotted with this P6 beanie lately, and here is the reason why... Alexander Wang's line of P6 gear is a statement of solidarity, to not let the Olympics come and go without shining a light on the discrimination agains and abuse of the LGBT in Russia. With the P6 logo, he refers to the Principle 6 entry of the Olympic charter that declares: 'the practice of sports is a humane right'. Wang told Vogue that it’s meant for “athletes, fans—anyone and everyone who believes in equality and nondiscrimination, both of which are entirely compatible with the spirit of the Olympic Games.” These Alexander Wang beanies retail for 25 dollar and proceeds go to Principle 6 Campaign in Russia. Sometimes it is hard to understand the statement of fashion designers. But after reading this story you will have a little bit more understanding about these fashion designers. For this goal I would like to introduce and explain you the collection of Mihaela Markovic.
Last weekend we finally reunited in Amsterdam!
Ever since we became friends, we've been living in different countries.. Staying connected can be hard, but luckily we manage to keep in touch through every possibly way. Here you find us on our way to 'De Laatste Kruimel', (accidentally) dressed in matching colours. Thanks to Lotte for shooting the pictures, they really came out nice! What are we wearing? Fabia: Vintage coat | Zara shoes | Calzedonia tights | Zara Leather shorts | Filippa K shirt | H&M hat | Cos scarf Wendy: Stylebymarina coat | Zara scarf | Zara leggings | Philosophy by Alberta Ferretti shoes | 10 Crosby Derek Lam bag The Berlinale International Film Festival in Berlin is starting tomorrow and I managed to get tickets for not one, but two movies! With the help of StilinBerlin’s guide to the the Berlinale, a lot of patience and luck, I managed to click my way to two screenings this Saturday. I'm so happy!
After living in Rotterdam for 6 years, and missing the IFFR there EVERY year, I got myself together this year – I have tickets to Filipino movie ‘Unfriend’ and the British movie ‘Sweet Sixteen’ that was released in 2002 already. Of course, movies like Monuments Men, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and American Hustle are going to be the main celebrity attractions, but inspired by the great program this year (and recommendations by StilinBerlin) I decided to opt for more underground movies that I might not ever see outside of the Berlinale. Really can’t wait for the weekend! Want to go as well? Be sure to check the website for ticket options here I love having lunch with friends. To drink tea and chat. We found this lovely place called 'De laatste kruimel'. The place is a little bit hidden, but you will be able to find it in the 'Langebrugsteeg 4' in Amsterdam. It's about a 15 minutes walk from central station or you can take several trams to stop 'Spui'. When you pass by you will be stopped by their windows filled with lovely and tempting quiches, cakes and sweets. Hard to withstand. Inside you will be able to find a variety of scones, croissants, sandwiches, smoothies. They make everything by hand and only work with organic and seasonal products. You can also buy home-made products there like jelly, great as a present! Click on 'Read more' hereunder to see more pictures! This place is cute and really small. You have to be lucky to find a place to sit inside. It is wonderful that their interior probably did not cost a lot of money, but looks lovely. The 'bar' is made of wooden pallets, you are sitting on a wooden crate with a pillow and also the stands in the windows are made of wooden pallets. Did you already hear about the new kid in town? I ran into the Ace&Tate collection in the Hutspot concept store and fell instantly in love. By cutting out the middlemen (the opticien), they offer the coolest glasses for only a fraction of the price you’d normally pay. Priced at only 98 euros, you’ll be able to upgrade your look as often as you would do with some new sneakers, or a new bag. The frames are designed in Amsterdam, and afterwards hand made in North Italy. True craftsmanship made available for everyone. How does it work? Customers can try out their frames at the Ace&Tate office on the Weteringschans in Amsterdam, through a virtual fitting room, or at the Hutspot shop-in-shop. Be sure to have your spe spectacles prescriptions at hand, or get one at selected opticiens for 25 euros.
Fabia ordered a pair last month and we were pleasantly surprised to receive the glasses with a handwritten note! Old fashioned service that is refreshing in this unpersonal e-shopping age. Check out their collection of ‘future classics’ on www.aceandtate.nl or at Hutspot at the Rozengracht. I have been living in Italy, for the past 4 years. I have studied there Fashion Styling at Istituto Marangoni. In Milan, to be exactly. It is always a bit more warm down there, in the south of Europe. So I got quite used to this weather. For me, as a Dutchie, the Italian weather is amazing. When I got back in the Netherlands and it got colder I realised I only have "in-between"-clothing.. with other words reason to go shopping! During my shopping-run I found this amazing white coat. I love white coats, specially this one because it has a minimal cut. I am wearing it with a big, warm sweater (oh yeah, my first sweater in my closet!) and some fun socks.
As we only would like to bring you cool stuff, herewith I would like to tell you more about an exposition about Isabella Blow in London. May we introduce you to one of the most extravagant woman?
After one year studying Ancient Chinese Art in New York Blow moved to Texas, to start working for Guy Laroche. In 1981 she got introduced to Anna Wintour. She got hired initially as Wintour's assistent, and it didn't take long before she was assisting |
