"Millions of monarch butterflies travel to ancestral winter roosts in Mexico's shrinking mountain fir forests. Surfing winds from southern Canada and the northern U.S., they travel thousands of miles, taking directional cues from the sun."
I want to go here so badly! More information here Sometimes an outfit can look boring (specially when it is all black). I will have to admit that I am always a bit scared to add bright colors in my outfit. But as it is spring now I believe it is makes your outfit more fun!
Dungarees or overalls. We love them. My first time I was wearing this dungarees on a Friday night in a bar. Someone asked me if I was a lesbian, or if I worked in fashion. I told him that the lesbian-dungaree-fact was before my generation and that it is coming back. We would see in 2 years he said... What do you think about dungarees?
Keeping it clean with wardrobe essentials such as the faded grey skinny, striped Breton longsleeve and a leather vest.
Striped longsleeve Petit Bateau Eye ring by Dogeared Jeans by Monki Shoes by dr. Martens Gilet by Bouchra Jarrar During the weekend, the 15th and 16th of March at the westergasfabriek (Amsterdam), there was the Neighbourfood market. A super spot for food-lovers. One Sunday a month this market pops up in the North of Amsterdam. The market has a lot of different stails and big tables in the middle where you can enjoy your just-bought food. There is a big variety of food, from sushi till the Dutch “worstenbroodjes” and smoothies.
When you are buying the food at the stails, you are directly in touch with the producer of the products. So they will be able to tell you everything about the product they are selling. For example friends of mine that were selling biological cheese from an island in the Netherlands (in Warmond). It is a small farm with about 45 cows. During the market they were selling cheese-fondue of a grandmother’s recipe. I did it yesterday. Finally. This haircut is what I had in mind since a long time, and yesterday I finally collected the courage to do it! What do you think?
Passionate about food? Definitely. As aspiring foodies we are always on the hunt for new lunch spots, bars and food events. The latter have been popping up everywhere we go, and we LOVE it! Streetfood markets, farmers markets you name it - we're there. Here is our list of favorites. Dear readers, I got this necklace a really cute store in Milan called Merry-go-round.. But I've been wearing it so many times! I am looking for a new necklace to complete my looks with. Do you have any suggestions? "What a strange name..." This names started by accident; with his nickname "Slinky" (because of his curly hair). He started designing characters for his friends, and after he created a blog. Slinkachu became the name of this blog.
Slinkachu is in the top of the urban art scene right now. He uses tiny human models and put them in real life situations. This is the most simple way to tell you about his work. He adapt mini humans from model train sets. Doing daily things; camping, grocery shopping, skateboarding, and dying. He makes street art more sensitive and " invisible " . Trends are al-ways returning (So please, save everything that's in your closet from now on). We present you the return of the platform shoes. Do you remember the spice girls? Oh yes please! By then, when I was about 5 years old I was dreaming about their platform shoes. Unfortunately my parents did not let me to. But I am having a new chance now! A list of my favorites from this season: What is better at the end of the day than a beautiful panna cotta, photographed by Tim Walker? Seen on Another Loves
This weekend I am staying at my parents place in a small town called 's-Hertogenbosch, down in the south of The Netherlands. When I am here they always go to the market on Saturday and I love to join them. Specially with the weather of today, that was like spring! (Yes, quite a miracle in The Netherlands....) I love the smell of fresh fruit, the -famous?- Dutch cheeses and flowers.
For all girls and boys who have too many clothes and too little space in their closet: there is a new second hand market in town! The Rags to Riches market is organized by my friend Julie from Rad Times Amsterdam, and is meant for all of us who want to sell high quality second hand clothing, but are too lazy to put it on Marktplaats or the IJhallen. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?
The market will be held on the 5th of April in Roest Amsterdam. You can rent a 'mini shop' for 30 euro including two clothing racks and a big table. See more information on http://www.ragstorichesmarket.nl or check the Facebook page. Spring is on my mind! With 3 booked holidays ahead of me, I am daydreaming away by the idea of wearing peep toe heels, shorts and bare legs again.
