I was looking into my modest perfume collection and thought it would be cool to blog a little bit about this. After having the same perfume for 10 years (I started to wear 'Chance' by Chanel when I was 14) I decided it was time for something new last year. Though I like the fact that people recognized me by this fragrance, I also think it's cool to wear a different smell for different moods and occasions. A smell can really 'finish' a certain look, boost confidence or just makes you feel sexy.
I was introduced to more 'exclusive' perfume house Byredo by a friend (thanks Emese!) and I have been crazy about it ever since. 'Pulp' is a perfume that not everyone will be able to appreciate, but for the ones who do it will change the way you select your perfumes. After the first sniff (which is very intense), the perfume develops over time, giving off a totally different vibe as the day passes by. I can still get excited when I smell it in a scarf I wore last week, and many of my friends say it is now my 'signature' smell.
Besides this favorite, I also really love 'Le Parfum' by Carven. It is fresh, though very different than any other commercial smell I have tried. The simple bottle design also helped :)
So what is your 'signature' smell? Do you stick to one perfume or do you mix it up with different scents?
