During the weekend, the 15th and 16th of March at the westergasfabriek (Amsterdam), there was the Neighbourfood market. A super spot for food-lovers. One Sunday a month this market pops up in the North of Amsterdam. The market has a lot of different stails and big tables in the middle where you can enjoy your just-bought food. There is a big variety of food, from sushi till the Dutch “worstenbroodjes” and smoothies.
When you are buying the food at the stails, you are directly in touch with the producer of the products. So they will be able to tell you everything about the product they are selling. For example friends of mine that were selling biological cheese from an island in the Netherlands (in Warmond). It is a small farm with about 45 cows. During the market they were selling
cheese-fondue of a grandmother’s recipe.
